Departure and Arrival Procedures
- Departures for Domestic Flights:
Passengers are requested to proceed to the Level 4 check-in lobby either from the Transportation Center Level 2 connecting bridge or from the Terminal 3 Area C Level 4 connecting bridge. After check-in formalities, continue down the escalator or elevator to Area C Level 3 and go through the security check. Proceed to the Domestic Departure Lounge and continue to your boarding gate.
- Arrivals for Domestic Flights:
Once you get off the plane at the Terminal 3 area boarding bridge, proceed to the Area C Level 2 Domestic Arrival Floor via the corridor bridge. Continue to the Domestic Baggage Claim Hall and into the Reception Hall where you will find the Transportation Center.
- Departures for International Flights:
Passengers are requested to proceed to the Area C Level 4 check-in lobby either from the Transportation Center Level 2 connecting bridge or from the Terminal 3 Area C Level 4 connecting bridge. Continue to the Checked Baggage Customs Declaration area and complete check-in formalities. Once your boarding pass is checked, proceed down the escalator or elevator to the Area C Level 2 APM platform, and take the APM to the Area E Level 2 APM station. Proceed to the Area E Level 2 CIQ, 2F and through the Health and Quarantine Inspection, the Frontier Inspection, the Security Inspection and the Customs Inspection. Continue to the International Departure Lounge and onto your boarding gate.
Special notice: For international passengers traveling on CA153, CA155, CA175, CA177, CA903, CA905, CA923, CA953, CA957, CA977 and other flights containing domestic segments, after completing boarding procedures, please follow the domestic departure transfer guides and wait for your plane in the designated waiting areas for international departure passengers on domestic segments near Gate C53 and Gate C54. If you have items in your checked baggage that should go through declarations or other customs procedures, please first go through the customs procedures at the Customs Declaration counter between Room D and Room E of the Check-in Duty Hall on Level 4.
- Arrival for International Flights:
Once you get off the plane at the Terminal 3 Area E boarding bridge, proceed to the Area E Level 3 International Arrival Floor. Continue to the Health Inspection, the Entry Frontier Inspection, and down the escalator or elevator to the Area E Level 2 APM platform. Take the APM to the Area C Level 2 APM platform and proceed to the International Baggage Claim Hall. Continue to the Animal and Plant Quarantine (spot check), the Customs Inspection of Entry and into the Reception Hall where you will find the Transportation Center.

Check-in areas A, F, H, J, K and L are the Air China check-in counters where passengers can check-in for flights.
If you are taking a domestic flight, please proceed through Gate No.10 to check-in areas J and K to check-in for your flight.
If you are taking an international flight or a flight to Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan, please proceed through Gate No. 8 to check-in area F to check-in for your flight.
- If you have a First Class or Business Class ticket on an international flight operated by Air China, including flights to Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan, please enter the airport through entrance 2 and proceed to check-in area A to complete check-in procedures.
- If you are a PhoenixMiles Platinum member and take an international flight operated by Air China, please enter the airport through entrance 2 and proceed to check-in area A to complete check-in procedures.
- If you have a First Class or Business Class ticket on an Air China domestic flight or if you are a PhoenixMiles Gold or Silver member, please enter the airport through entrance 8 or 10 and proceed to check-in area H to complete check-in procedures.
If you are taking a flight on a Star Alliance member airline, you may proceed through Gate No. 4 or No. 6 to the nearby check-in areas D and E to check-in for flights.
Air China closes check-in for domestic flights 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, and closes check-in for international and regional flights 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
