To strengthen aviation transportation security, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), under the Department of Homeland Security, has issued the following order to foreign aviation carriers:

As of November 8, 2010, all passengers and crew members are prohibited from bringing toner and ink cartridges over 16 ounces (approximately 453g) in both carry-on bags and checked bags on all U.S.-bound passenger flights.
