Toner and Ink Cartridges Prohibited on Passenger Flights to the U.S.Home > About Us > Air China News > Toner and Ink Cartridges Prohibited on Passenger Flights to the U.S. To strengthen aviation transportation security, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), under the Department of Homeland Security, has issued the following order to foreign aviation carriers: As of November 8, 2010, all passengers and crew members are prohibited from bringing toner and ink cartridges over 16 ounces (approximately 453g) in both carry-on bags and checked bags on all U.S.-bound passenger flights.
