Air China Launches International Web Sites
Air China has successfully launched localized web sites in over 20 international markets since November 2007. Most of the web sites feature multiple languages including English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and other native languages. In addition, these web sites offer fares in local currency and provide local web customer support. All of this is also of great benefit to international customers planning to attend the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and wish to book their tickets online with Air China in their home country.
The web sites provide customers with the tools to conduct their business and leisure travel activities online. Customers can now purchase tickets online 24/7 and check on special fare offers and promotions for Air China’s frequent flyer program, PhoenixMiles.
The implementation of the web sites has been done in close coordination with several key international partner companies who have extensive experience working with international airlines.
In 2008, Air China plans to grow its web presence in more international markets while continuing to develop its existing web products with more customized web applications. The goal is to compete more effectively and meet the needs and wishes of global customers.
