Our International Airline is expanding their Sales team and is looking for qualified Account Managers in Houston, Miami, Chicago and San Francisco.
The position is reporting to the Sales Manager – North America in Los Angeles. The qualified individuals will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of account management and sales and service functions in their assigned area including communication with the North American head office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing sales plan and making sales calls and presentations.
- Identify market potential by qualifying agent, corporate accounts and strategic travel distributers.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a good, professional working relationship with accounts and staff, and North American headquarter team members, establishing a clear line of communication at all levels.
- Liaise with unit Account Manager to provide account-specific training and presentations to personnel as required.
- Maintain prompt and effective communications with customers and sales and reservation staff to resolve requests and special issues.
- Monitor performance of selected travel accounts and corporations
- Serve as the primary contact for all day-to-day operational communications with corporate, travel agent and supplier accounts within the assigned area.
- Act as the single point of contact with the airline and should be available on call to respond to agent and commercial account phone calls, e-mails, and fax inquiries.
- Design and tailor contracts based on the needs of the clients with in the region.
- Close sales by building rapport with potential accounts, explaining the product benefits, problem solving, and signing contracts
- Attend regional Star Alliance Meetings as requested by North America HDQ.
- Provide weekly sales and activity reports to the Sales Manager – North America.
Education:
Work Experience:
- 3-4 years experience in sales, airline and/or travel industry required.
Job Skills:
- Experience working with international companies is advantageous to the position.
- Proven ability to be a good team player in a complex multi-lingual and cultural environment.
- Proficient in MS-Office software, such as World, Excel and PowerPoint.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing with senior executives.
- Fluency in a foreign language is beneficial to the position, however not required.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Travel:
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Other Requirements:
- High degree of confidentiality
- Working knowledge of od airline GDS helpful
- Candidates must have the right to live and work in USA
- US Driver License required for sales calls

- Full time (Home Based for HOU, MIA, CHI locations)
